Honour for Culinary Master

Ortnerhof Head Chef Erwin Rennertseder is accepted into the prestigious Euro Toques Chef circle.

The hotel Ortnerhof is exceptionally proud of our long serving Head Chef Erwin Rennertseder. As a result of his culinary expertise, he has been invited to join the prestigious circle of Euro Toques chefs and may now decorate the hotel with his first Euro Toques star. Herr Rennerstseder is one of only three chefs in the Traunstein region who have been honoured by the EURO Toque commission.

Excitement is Rennertseder’s trademark in his culinary offerings at Hotel Ortnerhof here in Ruhpolding. The basis of his success lies in the fact that his creations excite all of the senses: they are a feast not just for the eyes, but the nose and the tastebuds too. With an amazing sense of creativity and an exquisite level of finesse, Rennertseder creates innovative and beautifully presented dishes which consistently delight our guests.

For 30 years, the Ortnerhof’s head chef has amazed and surprised our guests again and again with an array of unsurpassed culinary masterpieces. The passion and care with which he creates these dishes is felt in the hearts and stomachs of all of our guests. Euro Toque- the icing on the cake for top chefs
The nomination for Euro Toque membership is one of the highest distinctions that a chef in Europe can obtain. Those who are members are responsible for preserving and maintaining the culture and tradition of fine European cuisine. There are currently over 4000 Euro Toque chefs in Europe with about 500 of these resident in Germany. The organisation has existed since 1986.

Famous members include Paul Bocuse/France, Baron Pierre Romeyer/Belgium, Toni Tintinger/Luxembourg, Juan Mari Arzak/Spain, Gualtiero Marchesi/Italy and Eckart Witzigmann /Germany.
